Finding Presence In Transition

Arch6001 W2

This Project Aims to address the void spaces on campus by using participatory biodiversification as a method to rejuvenate the campus. It focuses on utilising intergenerational education to build community connections with foundational schools, inspiring more children to pursue higher education and sparking an interest in sustainability and nature.

Green spaces on Campus are only experienced in a transition, and this project aims to address this by rejuvenating and creating spaces to be present within nature. This works towards an overall improvement in student mental health in a high-density city environment, creating a sense of presence and a space for grounding and mindfulness.

The Roots Pavilion

The Roots Pavilion is set to become a new node on campus; a centre of biodiversity and conservation efforts as well as community connections and intergenerational learning. It encapsulates the core principles of this project: Presence, Biodiversity, and intergenerational learning.
